The National Native American Policy Report contains 100 recommendations for creating healthy and vibrant local economies. The Report is based on the participant input from the 2007 National Native American Economic Policy Summit.

Visioning 21st Century Tribal Community Planning

The first values-based planning workshop was held at the College of Design at the Arizona State University this past fall. NCAI partnered with The Department of Interior’s Office of Indian Energy and Economic Development, Arizona State University and University of New Mexico to host the first in what will be ongoing regional workshops to define the government tool of planning and its role in tribal governance and economic development.


The attached paper presents the results of the successful planning workshop.
