Four (4) years of experience.
Bachelor's degree in Indian Affairs, Business, Finance or related field and 3 years of experience.
Experience must include:
Extensive knowledge of and respect for American indian values, cultures, and traditions.
Interacting and participating in tribal affairs or in a tribal community based position.
Knowledge of tribal government functions and operations sufficient to recommend appropriate strategies related to government training and development programs.
Knowledge of tribal laws and government.
Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative and consultative manner to accomplish goals and objectives in cooperation with tribal governments.
Strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems, complaints, issues, and concerns in a manner that maintains relationships.
Human relations skills sufficient to build and maintain positive relationships.
Demonstrated experience working cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Exposure to and working knowledge of federal and state income taxes.
Experience preparing federal and state income taxes.
Tribal government work experience.
Knowledge of the history of Minnesota Tribes.
Knowledge of values, customs, and attitudes of the Tribal communities to sufficiently design outreach efforts to these communities.
Human relations skills sufficient to build and maintain positive relationships among professional colleagues, tax professionals, American Indian and Community stakeholders.
