Eighth Generation, the first Native-owned company to offer wool blankets, is searching for a self-starter with a strong general awareness of the Native experience, history and art to manage our new kiosk at SEATAC airport. Relationships are critical to our growing business, and the successful candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining strong customer and community relations.

Skills & Qualifications

• Passion for attracting, developing, and retaining diverse and dynamic teams • Must be a leader in punctuality and attendance, adhering to scheduled shifts. • Ability to develop relationships with customers and colleagues. • Preferred 2+ years of experience managing teams in a customer-focused/selling environment with a proven track record of driving success • A customer service expert, creates experiences and develops relationships with customers, embraces the social aspect of sales and the ability to positively and proactively handle customer concerns. • Ability to work flexible sched ule to include weekdays and weekends. • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes. • Strong organizational skills and follow through skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • High level of ownership, accountability and initiative. • Eager to develop new skills and responsive to feedback. • Experience with various software products such as Office, Google Docs, etc., as well as POS (Point of Sales) systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Share all daily, weekly, monthly tasks with other Retail Staff. • Demonstrate and train to Eighth Generation policies such as: music, employee performance/expectations, over-the-phone, POS, and web orders, wholesale inquiries, shipping procedures, in-store product holds, POS functions, discounts available to customers and employees, donation requests, Eighth Generation tours, store events. etc. • Mentor and manage store associates & performance through coaching and by setting and communicating expectations of the position, development of individuals skills and providing consistent performance feedback in monthly check-ins with associates. • Manage store associate schedules • Train new store associates in policies, procedures and cultural standards of Eighth Generation to provide outstanding customer service. • Plan and organize product displays and fixtures to better promote the product lines and services within the store. • Be knowledgeable of local community (Seattle population and urban Native population) efforts and experiences. • Collaborate with Marketing and Social Media managers to create content and plan sales and promotions • Reorder wholesale products as needed. • Establish sales goals, and track sales and KPl's • Submit monthly reports to COO. Submit regular reports to Leadership Team • Oversee Transfer Orders and overall inventory and store supply replenishment • Other duties as assigned.
