Using Your Tribal Data to Chart Your Future: How Tribes Can Participate in the Survey of Native Nations Webinar

Date: Tuesday, March 3, 2026
Time: 1:00–2:00 p.m. CT/ 2:00–3:00 p.m. ET

The Survey of Native Nations represents a transformative approach to advancing the quality and availability of Tribal financial data to inform Tribal decision-making. Developed in collaboration with the Center for Indian Country Development (CICD), this initiative enables participating Tribal Nations to enhance their ability to analyze financial data and communicate their economic contributions in data-informed ways.

Built on Indigenous research principles of Tribal data sovereignty and reciprocity, the Survey of Native Nations leverages the Federal Reserve System’s secure data infrastructure to ensure the protection and stewardship of sensitive Tribal information.

Event Overview:
This webinar, presented by the National Congress of American Indians, the Center for Indian Country Development at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians, Native American Finance Officers Association, National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development, and United South and Eastern Tribes, will provide Tribal leaders, finance practitioners, and government staff with an opportunity to learn how Native Nations are leveraging this unique data collaboration to advance their local data practices.

Attendees will gain insights into:

  • Survey Design: The flexible design of the survey and how it adapts to diverse Tribal needs.

  • Data Security: An overview of the rigorous procedures used to safeguard Tribal information.

  • Practical Application: Examples of the specific data analyses participating Tribal Nations receive.

  • Leadership Perspectives: Firsthand accounts from Tribal leaders on using survey results to advance individual economic development goals.

Those interested in exploring their Tribal Nation’s potential participation will learn how to connect with project leadership or request a formal briefing for their Tribal government.
