The National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) Violence Against Women Task Force will host a virtual pre-consultation caucus on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. ET for Tribal leaders and Tribal organizations to focus on the priorities for discussion at the Department of Justice’s annual government-to-government consultation with Tribal Nations, led by the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW).
The caucus is a closed event intended only for Tribal leaders, Tribal proxies, and Tribal organizations. We ask that federal partners, press, and other third parties refrain from attending.
Registration is required for the Pre-Consultation Caucus.
NCAI will also host an in-person pre-consultation caucus on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the Tulalip Resort in Tulalip, Washington, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. PT to further discuss talking points and strategy for the OVW consultation. Click here to learn more.
