This webinar was hosted by the Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals (ITEP) at Northern Arizona University and is part of their Tribal Workforce Development Webinar Series. Learn about the National Congress of American Indians’ Tribal Workforce Development Toolkit and The Native Conservancy’s Kelp Farming, regenerative mariculture, and other workforce training!
Launched in November 2025, the NCAI Tribal Workforce Development Toolkit Version 2.0 shares the main findings of NCAI's ongoing research examining the innovative approaches to workforce development that Tribal Nations and other Native-led workforce development entities are forging, how they are achieving success (as they define it), and why. It frames and informs strategic decision-making by Native workforce developers at a foundational, nation-rebuilding level, providing them with a comprehensive lens for identifying, developing, and implementing effective, sustainable workforce development solutions tailored to their distinct needs and ends.
This webinar, held on April 27, 2026, features:
NCAI's Policy Director, Meghan Bishop (Sugpiat and Native Village of Afognak)
President and Founder of Native Conservancy, Dune Lankard (Eyak and Athabaskan)
