Job Description

As a Lead Equal Employment Specialist, you work closely with the Deputy Division Director to provide leadership in terms of equal employment opportunity program functions and subject matter expertise to the staff within the Reasonable Accommodation/Accessibility team and across other teams within Office of Civil Rights, Diversity, and Inclusion.

Duties & Responsibilities

Your major duties and responsibilities include:

  • Leading decision-making for the team related to Reasonable Accommodation/Accessibility operations oversight (e.g., workload distribution, task assignment, strategy development, analysis of team performance on achieving goals and formulation of corrective actions if targets are not met).
  • Providing managers and employees expert advice on matters relating to Reasonable Accommodation/Accessibility plans, policies, and decisions.
  • Monitoring the processing of requests for Reasonable Accommodation and/or Accessibility pursuant to the Executive Orders, EEOC's guidance, the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and established case precedent.
  • Researching and applying a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze, and improve team effectiveness, efficiency, and work products.
  • Processing Reasonable Accommodation/Accessibility requests, drafting coherent correspondences.
  • Designing, implementing, and conducting educational components, consisting of orientations and trainings to provide program participants an understanding of the Reasonable Accommodation (RA) process and support HRSA's compliance efforts.
  • Developing and evaluating Reasonable Accommodation Training effectiveness for the agency.

Salary & Benefits

$139,395 - $181,216 per year
