Social Worker Supervisor

Oversee, supervise and direct staff day to day services and programs provided by Wassaja Social Services.

SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE: • Knowledge of tribal, state and Federal child welfare and protection statutes, rules, ordinances, laws, case laws and policies; • Knowledge of a wide variety of treatment, educational and service programs; • Knowledge of the principles of management and administration; • Knowledge of public welfare administration; • Skill in handling and overseeing a complex caseload; • Skill in assessing the effectiveness of treatment, educational and service programs; • Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing word processing software; • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective and cooperative working relationships with other departments of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION: 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related filed (Master’s in Social Work preferred) 2. Minimum of two years of Supervisory experience in Human Services (Child Protective Servies Supervisory experience preferred 3. Experience working with American Indian communities and or population preferred; 4. Current Arizona Driver’s License and meet FMYN insurance standards.

Provides supervision of services providers, case managers, CPS/APS referred cases; and ICWA; oversees, monitors and manages case loads; oversees participates in and monitors delivery of services provided to community members; ensure that treatment, training and development programs for community members are appropriate in quantity; reviews and assesses staff member reports.. Establish, maintains and monitors standards and performance for staff and provides; recommends now revised policies and procedures; provides training and staffing level recommendations; provides, conducts and presents training programs; work at times outside normal business hours; performs other duties as assigned.
