ORGANIZATION

The Alliance of Tribal Coalitions to End Violence (ATCEV) is national membership-based nonprofit working to advance tribal sovereignty and safety of American Indian and Alaska Native women by providing training, technical assistance and support to tribal coalitions and tribal communities in their efforts to address equal justice for survivors of violence.

THE POSITION

The ATCEV seeks an assistant to work with the ATCEV’s training (T) and technical assistance (TA) team. The T/TA Assistant must be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and will be responsible for coordinating activities of the T/TA team. The T/TA assistant performs a critical role in supporting the T/TA team to implement programmatic initiatives and deliver training and technical assistance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dedicated and resourceful, can work well autonomously and collaboratively, and is committed to addressing domestic and sexual violence in Tribal communities and across the nation.

Skills & Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Significant experience with administrative support
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and video conferencing (Zoom, Teams)
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent time and stress management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with scheduling and event planning
  • Creative problem-solving
  • The ability to:
    • Follow through on assignments
    • Work both quickly and thoroughly

  • Must be willing to travel nationally without supervision/accompaniment

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Video editing and other multimedia skills helpful in collaborating with our Communications team
  • Experience with federal government grant management
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with Tribal coalitions, Tribal governments, and Tribal communities
  • Knowledge of Native American culture that may be useful in working with Tribal communities to address domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking and sex trafficking
  • Must be willing to submit to and successfully pass a criminal background check if required
  • Must be willing and able to perform all job-related travel normally associated with this position

Duties & Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Planning and coordinating ATCEV meetings, conferences, events, and trainings, including but not limited to, hotel procurement, speaker and participant travel arrangements, expense reimbursements, and assisting in the completion of conference request and reporting forms
  • Securing and setting up accessibility services including translation, closed captioning, and other accessibility services
  • Handling administrative tasks, including meeting notes, expense reports, and other internal documentation and communication
  • Coordinating and performing logistical supports for all grant meetings
  • Tracking technical assistance requests and responses, and grant expenditures, and assisting with grant reporting
  • Creating notices, advertisements, registrations and other materials, and drafting alerts, updates and sending over listservs to target recipients
  • Assisting with ATCEV communication over social media, website and assisting in the maintenance of listservs, directories and resource libraries
  • Supporting and building the capacity of ATCEV to deliver T/TA by assisting staff in T/TA projects as requested and providing support to T/TA recipients
  • Working collectively with ATCEV staff, board, member programs in representing the ATCEV at conferences, meetings, working groups and networking events
  • Advancing ATCEV’s commitment to strengthening Tribal sovereignty and increasing safety of Indian women
Salary & Benefits

$50,000 annually
