ORGANIZATION

The Alliance of Tribal Coalitions to End Violence (ATCEV) is national membership-based nonprofit working to advance Tribal sovereignty and safety of American Indian and Alaska Native women by providing training, technical assistance and support to Tribal Coalitions and Tribal communities in their efforts to address equal justice for survivors of violence.

THE POSITION

The Training (T) and Technical Assistance (TA) Coordinator coordinates and provides comprehensive, specialized T/TA under several federally funded grant projects including, but not limited to, projects to strengthen the organizational capacity and support grant compliance of coalitions, a project to strengthen rape prevention and education (RPE) efforts and strategies of Tribal coalitions RPE grantees, and a project to assist Indian Tribal governments to develop and/or strengthen child support enforcement programming at the Tribal government level. This position is responsible for designing and implementing technical assistance and training programs, facilitating meetings, developing resource materials, and other key T/TA activities to support ATCEV’s grant-related projects and work. The ideal candidate is skilled in the delivery of training and technical assistance, facilitation of meetings, and oversight of multiple projects and deadlines.

Skills & Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience developing and providing training and technical assistance
  • Thorough understanding of the dynamics of domestic and sexual violence
  • Outstanding public speaking, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Strong written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with stakeholders and partners
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and effectively with team members, agency staff, external colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to coordinate multiple tasks, manage time, evaluate progress and adjust activities to complete tasks within established timeframes and produce high-quality work
  • Demonstrated skills in goal setting, problem-solving, analytic thinking and organization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe, Zoom, Slack
  • Must be willing to travel nationally without supervision/accompaniment
  • Must be willing to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must be willing to submit to and successfully pass a criminal background check if required
  • Must be willing and able to perform all job-related travel normally associated with this position

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with managing federal government grants
  • Demonstrated commitment and experience in working with Tribal communities, Tribal governments, nonprofit organizations, and domestic violence, sexual assault or Tribal coalitions
  • Knowledge of child support enforcement programming at local or Tribal levels
  • Knowledge of Native American culture that may be useful in working with Tribal communities to address domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking and sex trafficking
Duties & Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Building and nurturing relationships with T/TA recipients
  • Recruiting, receiving, developing and responding to technical assistance requests
  • Coordinating T/TA communications with ATCEV staff, partners, contractors, and grant funders
  • Developing resources and trainings on specialized issues responsive to T/TA requests
  • Identifying emerging trends and developing innovative T/TA solutions
  • Coordinating with funders and national TA providers, providing information and referrals
  • Developing resources and training materials responsive to T/TA needs and requests
  • Leading in the development and execution of T/TA activities including but not limited to meetings, trainings, workshops, conferences, roundtables, etc.
  • Developing program- and grant-related and required reports and ensuring that the T/TA data is accurately and effectively collected and retained in accordance with grant and organizational guidelines and policies
  • Working with coalitions, Tribes, tribal programs, state agencies and allied organizations to identify T/TA needs and coordinate training efforts
  • Working with ATCEV staff, partners, contractors, and funders as needed
  • Participating in staff, board, funder and project meetings to review goals, objectives, and activities and review benchmarks, barriers, and challenges
  • Working collectively with ATCEV staff, board, member programs in representing the ATCEV at conferences, meetings, working groups and networking events
  • Advancing ATCEV’s commitment to strengthening Tribal sovereignty and increasing safety of Indian women
Salary & Benefits

$75,000 annually
