. Sponsored by the Museum of the American Indian?, the Trade Feast will be located at Miwok Park, 2200 Novato Blvd., Novato. 94947. Performing at the Trade Feast will be Red Voice Drum, Unole Drum, Sonoma County Pomo Dancers, Kalpulli Anahuak Aztec Dancers, Hula Manu O’o Dancers and Hoop Dancer Eddie Madril. There will be Miwok songs and stories, basketry demonstrations, regalia making, shell bead drilling, children activities, book sales and tours of the Museum. The Shinnecock Indian Powwow is one of the largest Native American Gatherings on the East Coast, a place where Native drum groups and dancers compete for over $50,000 in prize money. Experience the sights, sounds and smells of the powwow. Each day there is competitive dancing, guest entertainment, prayers, ceremonial dances, the acknowledgement of sponsors and visiting dignitaries. We honor our veterans for protecting this life as we know it. Grand Entry re-occurs each preceding day at 12:30pm and 7pm with the exception of Monday. 21st Annual Tax Conference National Intertribal Tax Alliance [NITA]

The Summer 2019 CDC/ATSDR TAC Meeting and 19th Biannual Tribal Consultation Session will provide opportunities for tribal leaders to speak about the public health issues affecting their tribal nation. These meetings will include, but are not limited to, discussions about securing sustainable funding to Indian Country, ensuring a tribal voice in CDC policy and programs, and current CDC priorities. Tribal nations also will have an opportunity to present formal testimony about tribal public health issues.

The National Museum of the American Indian celebrates Cherokee history during the sixth annual Cherokee Days festival 

featuring the three federally recognized Cherokee tribes—Cherokee Nation, United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians and Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.The free three days of festivities include the installation of the original Treaty of New Echota (1835) with the Cherokee Nation, two banner exhibitions “The Cherokee Culture” and “A Story of Cherokee Removal,” and a festival full of cultural demonstrations and performances.This event showcases the shared history and cultural life-ways of the three Cherokee tribes through storytelling, traditional games, basket weaving, and pottery demonstrations, along with music and dance performances.
