While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and/or sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The noise level in the work environment is usually average.

May be required to possess and maintain a valid driver's license or capable of obtaining one, as well as be insurable by KIC’s company insurance.

Clinician I Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

Masters degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy or related field

Ability to achieve licensure in the State of Alaska as a LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within two years of hire.

Experience working in a behavioral health clinic or similar setting through employment or practicum.

Proof of valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Clinician I Preferred Education & Experience

Experience providing clinical services to 1 or more priority populations including children, youth, people with substance use disorders, or serious mental illness.

Clinician II Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

Current licensure in the State of Alaska as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT; or ability to transfer out of state license within 6 months of hire.

2 years post-graduate experience in a behavioral health setting.

Clinician II Preferred Education & Experience

Experience in community clinic preferred and a strong commitment to multi-disciplinary teamwork

Experience working in a Tribal healthcare setting and with American Indian and Alaska Native people.

Clinician III Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

Current licensure in the State of Alaska as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT; or ability to transfer out of state license within 6 months of hire

5+ years experience as a licensed mental health clinician

Clinician III Preferred Education & Experience

Doctoral degree in psychology, social work, counseling or other relevant field.

8 years experience as a mental health clinician

Supervisory credential in the state of Alaska or ability to achieve within 6 months of hire.

Experience in a community clinic preferred and a strong commitment to multi-disciplinary teamwork
