Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head Aquinnah

The Clinical Nurse (CN) supports the Wampanoag Health Service (WHS) in providing culturally appropriate, high-quality healthcare to Tribal members. This position works under the supervision of the Health Director and in collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, psychologists, and other health professionals. The CN assists in daily clinical operations, patient care, and program coordination—including serving as the Special Diabetes Program for Indians (SDPI) Coordinator. The Clinical Nurse contributes to a comprehensive community health strategy aligned with Indian Health Service (IHS) priorities, focusing on prevention, wellness, and education.

Clinical Nurse

The Health Service Director is responsible for the leadership, oversight, and administration of the Tribe’s health and wellness programs. This includes managing clinical and community health services, ensuring compliance with funding and reporting requirements, and promoting the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of Tribal members. The Director serves as a liaison between the Tribe and regional or national health agencies and coalitions, including USET, NCAI, NIHB and ensures Tribal interests are represented and protected. Additionally, the Director administers an annual health department budget exceeding $1.4 million and ensures compliance with the Title V Health Services Self-Governance Compact and Annual Funding Agreement (AFA) between Indian Health Service (IHS) and the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah).

Health Services Director

Senior Accountant 


Reporting to the Executive Director of the Dakotas/Wyoming Chapter, the Legal Director will lead and expand the ACLU legal program across South Dakota, North Dakota, and Wyoming, including developing and litigating high-impact cases and managing the legal department. At the direction of the Executive Director, the Legal Director will be responsible for crafting and executing legal strategy that advances the ACLU of SD/ND/WY mission, as well as handling the day-to-day management of legal staff and cooperating attorneys. As a critical member of the office's senior leadership team, the Legal Director will provide strategic leadership on both litigation and non-litigation legal advocacy in priority areas of criminal justice, immigrants’ rights, Indigenous justice, LGBTQ and Two Spirit equality, reproductive rights, and voting rights, as well as other areas including First Amendment rights.


We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Legal Director who will lead all aspects of litigation and serve as a key senior leader within our Chapter. Beyond stewarding the collection through exhibitions and publications, PEM fosters and advances the next generation of Native American leaders in the cultural sector through the Native American Fellowship (NAF) program. The Native American Fellowship program emerged more than 15 years ago as part of an Education through Cultural and Historical Organizations grant to fulfill the need of cultivating more Native American museum and cultural heritage professionals. PEM believes extensive, interconnected networks of family, community, and professionals are essential. Fellowships are open to rising graduate students and emerging and in-service cultural professionals, including persons of Native American, Alaska Native, Kānaka Maoli (Native Hawaiian), First Nations, Métis, and Inuit heritage; members of federally recognized tribes, consistent with the distinctions established under federal law. As well, PEM welcome applications from individuals who reside on Native or tribal lands; and artists and scholars whose work and/or study contributes to the artistic traditions, research and preservation of Native American art, culture and history, and who demonstrate consistent commitment through their life and their work to the purpose of the program and the cultural and educational mission of the museum. The program hosts approximately four fellows every summer and two long-term fellows throughout the year. Lynda Roscoe Hartigan is the Rose-Marie and Eijk van Otterloo Executive Director and CEO. PEM has a 2020-member board of trustees led by Jennifer Borggaard, Chair, and Jeffrey P. Beale, Vice Chair, and a staff size of approximately 250.

The Program Director, Native American Fellowship (Program Director) will play a pivotal, non-curatorial role within the Curatorial Affairs Team, driving the vision, strategy, and execution of the Native American Fellowship Program. This dynamic position will lead the day-to-day operations of the fellowship program, overseeing all aspects of its administration while ensuring alignment with PEM’s mission and values.

Reporting to the Stuart W. and Elizabeth F. Pratt Curator of Native American and Oceanic Art and Culture, and Principal Advisor to the Native American Fellowship Program, the Program Director will encourage and advance the next generation of cultural leaders through sustained training of new fellows and expanded opportunities for alumni as they take on leadership roles in museums, cultural programs, and academia.

As a key ambassador for the program, the Program Director will serve as the central liaison between fellows, PEM staff, external partners, and Native communities and organizations across the U.S. and Canada. This role is essential in growing and sustaining meaningful relationships, promoting collaboration, removing barriers, and celebrating the artistic traditions, culture, history, and voices of Indigenous peoples within PEM’s fellowship program framework.

By overseeing the fellowship program’s objectives, timelines, and resources, the Program Director ensures that program goals, initiatives, and grant obligations are achieved with excellence, while upholding the program’s core values and advancing the museum’s broader priorities. This role is central to shaping the long-term impact and success of the fellowship program.

A master’s degree in art history, anthropology, or cultural studies is preferred with an emphasis in Native American Studies; however, a bachelor’s degree holder who has an equivalent combination of education and experience is welcome. Extensive, demonstrable experience in program development, with a deep understanding of Indigenous cultures, gained through lived and/or professional experience, is a must. A minimum of three to five years of relevant museum or nonprofit management and implementation experience is required, particularly in overseeing training and/or professional development programs. Ideal candidates will have direct experience with the culture, language, and traditions of Indigenous communities.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide operational leadership across all QTE enterprises with a focus on efficiency, customer service, safety, and profitability.
• Supervise and support managers of assigned operational units and functions (e.g., resort, restaurant, RV park, marina, event center, convenience store/gas, coffee shop, parking operations).

• Ensure consistent standards of quality, service, and compliance across all business units.
• Assist the Executive Director in developing and implementing annual business plans, budgets, and capital expenditure priorities.
• Monitor and manage operational performance metrics, identify trends, and implement improvements.
• Develop and enforce policies, systems, and procedures that enhance operational consistency and accountability.
• Champion employee development by coaching managers, supporting training programs, and implementing career development pathways for team members.
• Apply collaborative progressive discipline practices to hold team members accountable while supporting employee growth.
• Coordinate with Facilities, Food & Beverage, and Accounting/Finance functions to ensure seamless enterprise-wide operations.
• Lead efforts to improve customer experience, guest satisfaction, and community reputation of QTE businesses.
• Maintain compliance with tribal, state, and federal requirements, as well as QTE policies and standards.
• Serve as acting Executive Director when delegated.

Quiluete Tribal Enterprises 

QTE is a tribally owned enterprise responsible for managing and growing a diverse portfolio of businesses that serve both the Quileute community and visitors to La Push, Washington. QTE operations include Quileute Oceanside Resort, a coffee shop, parking fee collection throughout the La Push community, a restaurant, RV park and campground, a storage facility, an event center, a marina, and a convenience store and gas station. Together, these businesses generate significant annual revenue and provide essential services, economic opportunity, and employment for the Quileute Tribe.
The Operations Director is a member of the senior leadership team within QTE, reporting directly to the Executive Director, and is responsible for the day-to-day operational performance of the enterprise. This position ensures that all guest-facing operations deliver excellent service, that operational processes are efficient, and that business units are aligned with organizational goals. The Operations Director directly supports the Executive Director by translating strategy into action across multiple enterprises, ensuring operational excellence, and developing strong managers and staff.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality, or related field, OR at an Associate’s in Business Administration, and At least 3 years of increasing leadership responsibility in a management role.
• Demonstrated success in managing operations with revenue responsibility at or above $5M annually.
• Strong understanding of point of sale (POS), property management system (PMS), and other operating platforms management and reporting (Medallia, inventory management platforms, etc.)
• Strong understanding of customer service, hospitality standards, and operational best practices.
• Experience supervising managers, building team culture, and developing talent.
• Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and performance management practices.
• Skilled in employee coaching, training, and collaborative progressive discipline.
• Strong problem-solving ability; able to act quickly and effectively in dynamic situations.
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Culturally sensitive, with the ability to work effectively with tribal leadership, members, and community stakeholders.
• High level of professional integrity, accountability, and dependability.
Special Requirements
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license from any U.S. state and be insurable under QTE’s vehicle insurance policy. Must be able to obtain a Washington State driver’s license within 60 days of hire.
