The Senior Director of Advancement will have the following primary responsibilities:
Advancement Operations
• Lead the day-to-day execution of the fundraising plan.

Native Arts and Culture Foundation 

The Native Arts and Cultures Foundation (NACF) is a Native-led national organization dedicated to promoting the revitalization, appreciation, and perpetuation of indigenous arts and cultures. Our mission is to advance equity and cultural knowledge, focusing on the power of arts and collaboration to strengthen Native communities and promote positive social change with American Indians, Native Hawaiians, and Alaska Native people in the United States. Through our program initiatives, NACF supports Native artists, culture bearers, and projects that are focused on environmental, cultural, and social change. We support artists to create new work, develop their arts practice, and produce projects in collaboration with communities. Support includes financial resources, artist training, and professional development, presenting and promoting artist work, and project management. POSITION OVERVIEWThe Senior Director of Advancement will be responsible for administrative oversight, team management, and execution of the fundraising plan. The Senior Development Director will carry a donor portfolio, manage team members with varied work styles, and ensure cohesion and stability in the Advancement department. This position will also serve as liaison to the Advancement Committee of the Board and collaborate cross-departmentally to align Advancement efforts with organizational needs. This position has three direct reports, including a Database/Systems Manager, a Foundation Grants Manager, and an Advancement Manager.


QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of experience managing a team; preferably in a hybrid environment.
• 5+ years of fundraising experience in a social justice, arts, or culture-related environment, with an emphasis on individual donor strategies.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational and work experience.

The contractor will assist with major project management tasks, focusing on planning remaining tasks and monitoring execution through closure. Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park 

Schoodic Institute is seeking a qualified contractor to lead project management components for the "Indigenous Peoples and the Revolutionary War" project. This initiative, funded through a federal grant, aims to advance the National Park Service’s understanding of Indigenous peoples' involvement in the Revolutionary War and the conflict’s significance for tribal nations. The project manager will work with the Principal Investigator (i.e., historian) to engage tribal nations whose homelands and territories are located in Interior Region 1 (Maine to West Virginia), convening focus groups that will share information about the project, request assistance identifying significant themes and consequential people, places, and events related to particular Nation's participation in the American War for Independence as well as the Revolution’s meanings and consequences for their people. The project manager will also support the historian’s continuing work with previously convened focus groups in the region. This work will include outreach to their First Nation representatives and recognized federal nations in areas where they have been displaced, Wisconsin and Oklahoma. NPS will support outreach to the Tribal Historic Preservation and Cultural Heritage offices of these Nations and support gathering at NPS sites as appropriate for convening conversations among and between Tribal Citizens and Historians. The project will last through April 2027 and will result in a general report. The work will follow best practices and guidance from individual Indigenous nations to protect Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP) and support Indigenous data sovereignty related to the project. Brief Statement of Duties: The Northern Michigan University (NMU) Center for Native American Studies seeks applicants for a Tenure Track faculty position in Native American Studies. We invite applicants to join our longstanding and vibrant Native American Studies Program for a tenure-earning Assistant Professor position. Odewining (the place of the heart), or the Center for Native American Studies, is part of Northern Michigan University, which resides on the ancestral homelands of the Anishinaabe Three Fires Communities, in gichi-namebini ziibi (Marquette, Michigan). The mission of the Center for Native American Studies is to offer a holistic curriculum rooted in Native American themes that challenges students to think critically and communicate effectively about Indigenous issues. It emphasizes Great Lakes Indigenous perspectives, stimulates further respectful inquiry about Indigenous people, and provides active learning and service learning opportunities that strengthen student engagement, interaction, and reciprocity with Indigenous communities. The National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition 

Oral Historians will interview and document the oral histories of survivors of Indian Boarding Schools in the United States. Interviews are currently scheduled through June 2026 with potential, but no guaranteed, follow-up work to continue through December 2026. This unprecedented collection of recorded experiences of boarding school survivors is part of a large project of the National Native American Board School Healing Coalition (NABS). Oral Historians will be supervised by and provided guidance by the Oral History Project Co-Directors.

$27-$33/Hour, approx. 100-120 hours a month 

Must-Haves ● Experience working with multiple ages and generations, especially engaging elders in community and conversation. ● Knowledge of the Native American and Alaska Native boarding school history, legacy, and impacts. ● Familiarity with and work experience in Native American communities. ● Background conducting oral history interviewing and qualitative research, including knowledge of professional practices and ethics. ● Strong emotional regulation - the stories collected range in levels of privacy, sensitivity, trauma, graphic and potentially trauma inducing content. ● Deep respect for individuals and groups and their stories. ● Ability to work with a diverse team and work independently, balancing priorities and meeting deadlines. ● Experience working remotely with proven time management skills. ● Ability to travel to all the scheduled sites during the scheduled interview times.

POSITION SUMMARY The Healing Programs Coordinator is responsible for supporting and implementing programming centered on healing for Boarding School Survivors and Staff. This position reports directly to the Director of Indigenous Mindfulness and works closely with them to fulfill various grant-related activities and assist with the completion and management of grant deliverables. This position will also work closely with other departments (Digital Archives, Research and Education, Policy, Development and Oral History Project) to collaborate and provide support with healing-related program needs.

What you Bring Must-Haves ● Knowledge of the American Indian and Alaskan Native boarding school history, legacy, and impacts. ● Familiarity with and work experience in Native American communities. ● Must demonstrate respect for all cultural and spiritual protocols within various tribal communities. ● Exceptional verbal and writing communication skills. ● Excellent self-awareness, interpersonal skills, and emotional intelligence with a deep respect for individuals, groups, and their stories. 2525 E. Franklin Ave. Ste. 150, Minneapolis, MN 55406 | 612.354.7700 | info@nabshc.org | boardingschoolhealing.org ● Proficient computer skills, mastery of MS Office, and Adobe Pro. ● Commitment to social change and justice for boarding school survivors and descendants. ● Strong emotional regulation - the stories collected range in levels of privacy, sensitivity, trauma, graphic and potentially trauma inducing content. ● Occasional nights and weekend work may be needed. ● Experience working remotely with proven time management skills and the ability to work independently as well as with a diverse team. Nice-to-Haves ● A bachelor’s degree in a related field. ● Background in one or more of the following areas: Counseling, Social Work, Addiction, Peer Recovery support, Community based healing programming. ● Technical writing experience. ● Experience working with multiple ages and generations, especially engaging elders in community and conversation. ● Familiarity with trauma-informed care, healing practices. ● Experience with project management or research software, such as Salesforce, Basecamp, Otter.ai, and other. WORK ENVIRONMENT ● This position is 40 hours a week with heavy computer use and in-person support where needed. ● As needed, travel for the Oral History Project one week per month to different sites across the country.
